I have been a filmmaker, a youth leader, and a professional storyteller. I have published two nonfiction books for teens, and most recently a short story “Dragonfly” in Cicada magazine for Young Adults. My writing has appeared in several other magazines, and I have won awards for screenwriting and short fiction. I can frequently be found hiking the primeval fern forests near his home in the Pacific Northwest with my wife and teenage son.
